Sustainability is key to a better future.

The life cycle of an Eywasouls Malibu designed item begins in the factory providing us with our printed fabric. This factory is certified by The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and supplies us with our organic cotton, organic muslin and tencel from Lenzing. GOTS is the world's leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including social, ecological and environmental criteria, supported by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. It was developed by leading standard setters to define globally recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible production and labelling, our GOTS-certified, longlasting textiles provide credible assurance for our customers.

For the production of the garment — the cutting, sewing and ironing — we are working close with two other factories, both family run. One factory is for our jersey garments and the other for woven, which is our dresses.

All in all, it can be said that we work in a small team and know almost every person by name who comes into contact with our clothes, whether it is during the production, manufacturing and development.

Prioritizing quality over quantity

Prioritizing quality over quantity, and making sure we don’t waste any fabric, we only order fabric according to orders. We are able to do this due to our long and solid relationship with our suppliers and as a result we preserve a sense of uniqueness and exclusivity, while guaranteeing no waste. If we still do have remaining fabric leftover from the production, we use it to create patchwork in the dresses or drawstring bags, which can be re-used to carry the clothes.

When the product is ready to find its forever home, we ship to two warehouses: one in the US and one in Germany for the EU and UK. This way we can ensure that the clothes aren’t flown halfway across the world and back, if they are returned. In addition, we have greatly reduced our travel activities in order to further reduce our carbon footprint and have become more efficient in shipping our items by filling each box we send to the maximum, without extra filling material or additional paper waste like return labels.

Our commitment to effortlessly luxurious pieces goes hand in hand with making considered and conscious decisions and constantly striving for improvement throughout our business and supply chain.
